The Digital Scholarship Commons is a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment where faculty and doctoral students engaged in research and instruction consult with experts and colleagues to advance their academic projects and share best practices in the use of technology and information resources.
Located on the second floor of Northeastern University Libraries, the DSC unifies staff from the Libraries, (Digital Scholarship Group and Research & Instruction Librarians), Academic Technology Services and the Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning through Research (CATLR) to provide some of these services and support:
- Technology solutions and tools for teaching and research
- Project development, management, and sustainability
- Support for teaching and instructional technologies
- Development of digital content and use of the Digital Repository Service
- Copyright, publishing, and issues of intellectual property
- Training in citation tools and new databases
- Media creation, reformatting and integration
- Workshops and training on digital research methods
